Preparation is key to achieving flawless nails with dipping powder application. Begin by shaping your nails to your desired form and gently pushing back the cuticles. To ensure optimal adhesion, delicately roughen the surface of your natural nails using a buffer block or the fine side of a file. It's crucial to remove any invisible cuticle and skin debris to prevent lifting. Avoid applying oils or creams prior to beginning the process.
Step 1: Base Coat
Apply a thin layer of base coat, ensuring to avoid painting the cuticles to prevent air bubbles and ensure proper adhesion.
Step 2: Dip
Immediately dip your finger gently, at a 45-degree angle, into the color powder "Smooth Avocado," "Latte," or "Senorita," and tap off the excess powder. Then remove the excess powder by lightly brushing over the surface. Repeat the process on the rest of your nails. Paint one nail at a time and then dip directly into the powder before starting the next nail.
Apply a thin layer of base coat to one nail. Be sure to cover the edges well, but do not touch the skin around the nail.
Step 3: Create Patterns
To create the flower patterns, use a dotting tool or any tool to mark the design, then pour the dipping powder to make it stick to the surface of the nail.
Step 4: Activator Coat
Apply a sufficient amount of activator coat to seal and bind the layers to the nail surface, preventing the formation of air bubbles and ensuring long-lasting adhesion. Allow the activator coat to dry for at least two minutes.
Step 5: Filing & Polishing
Use a fine file or buffer to smooth away any imperfections, and shape the nails to your desired thickness carefully.
Step 6: Activator Coat
Repeat the activator coat application process to further seal and optimize layer adhesion. Allow the coat to dry for at least two minutes, ensuring the surface is clean to prevent contamination.
Step 7: Top Coat
Apply a thin, even layer of top coat and allow it to dry for a minimum of two minutes.
Step 8: Top Coat
Repeat the top coat application process for added protection and shine, allowing each coat to dry thoroughly.
