Step-by-step instructions for applying "Linen + Crimson Shift" Dipping Powder

Materials:

• Linen Dipping Powder
  
• Crimson Shift Chrome Powder
• Base coat
• Activator
• Top coat
• Nail file and buffer
• Dusting brush or soft brush

Preparation

File your nails into the desired shape and gently push back your cuticles.

For optimal adhesion, lightly roughen/match the natural nails with a buffer block or the fine side of a file before application.

Be sure to remove invisible cuticle and skin debris as well, to avoid lifting.

Do not apply oils or creams before use.

Step 1: Base Coat & Color Powder

Apply a thin, even layer of Base Coat to the entire nail. Be careful not to touch the cuticles or surrounding skin, as this can cause lifting and affect adhesion. Dip the coated nail at a 45-degree angle into the "Linen" color dipping powder. Tap off the excess powder and gently brush away any loose particles with your dusting brush.

Step 2: Second Color Coat

Apply a second thin, even layer of Base Coat to the nail. Dip the nail back into the "Linen" color dipping powder to build a smooth, opaque finish. Use a fine cuticle tool to clean around the edges of the nail bed, then gently brush away any remaining loose powder.

Step 3: Activator Coat

Apply enough Activator Coat (Glowdip 2) over the entire nail surface and edges. This step binds the powder layers together and hardens them. Allow the Activator Coat to dry completely.

Step 4: Filing & Buffing

Use a file and the Glowdip Buffer (Step 3) to buff away any bumps or imperfections, bringing the nails to your desired shape and thickness. File carefully so that you do not damage the surface.

Step 5: Activator Coat

Repeat step 3. Apply a second coat of Activator to the entire nail and its perimeter to seal the layers optimally after buffing. Allow the Activator Coat to dry thoroughly for at least two minutes.

Step 6: Chrome Top Coat (Base for Chrome)

Apply a thin, even layer of the Glowdip Chrome Top Coat. This specialized top coat acts as the grip for the chrome effect without needing a UV lamp. Allow it to dry according to the product's specific instructions until it is ready for the powder.

Step 7: Chrome Powder Application

Dip your sponge applicator into the Crimson-Shift chrome powder. Firmly rub and buff the powder directly onto the nail surface until it is fully coated and you achieve a smooth, color-shifting mirrored effect.

Step 8: Final Top Coat

To seal the design and protect the chrome effect, apply a final, even layer of the Glowdip Chrome Top Coat over the entire nail. Be sure to cap the free edge of the nail to ensure proper adhesion and a long-lasting finish. Allow to dry completely.
